A barrel reconditioning unit started by M.S. Thankappan in 1990 as Salim Barrels has since become a large business enterprise with
more than 100 empployees with a business network all over Kerala. Few years later hardware manufacturing also started.
In 2004 he started Geetha Traders with his son Sreejith as a partner and ran the barrel unit Geetha Traders and Hardware business as Salim Barrels.
In 2018, Salim barrels completely stopped operations and transferred all business to Geetha Traders and entered into a new business area of
weld-mesh manufacturing and Sreelakshmi Sreejith came as a new partner. Sales team work with sales executives in all the districts of Kerala.
A branch of the company is also functioning at Areekode in Malappuram district. 100% guarantee on quality and prompt delivery are the speciality of Geetha Traders.
